PoisonHouse M.D. : Season 1 Episode 8
The first season of House premiered November 16, 2004,[1] and ended May 24, 2005.[1] The season follows Dr. Gregory House and his team as they solve a medical case each episode. The season's sub-plot revolves around billionaire Edward Vogler making a $100 million donation to the hospital.[2] Through this donation, Vogler becomes the new chairman of the board and orders House to fire one of his team members. Vogler does this to show House he can control him: "I need to know that whatever I ask you to do, however distasteful you find it, you'll do it".[3]
PoisonHouse M.D. : Season 1 Episode 8
Chi McBride joined the cast as Vogler in five episodes of the season.[4][5] His character was brought in after Universal Studios president Jeff Zucker threatened that the season would be cut short by six episodes if a "boss" character wasn't added.[6] While there were possibilities of the character returning, he was generally disliked by viewers and critics and therefore not brought back to the show.[6] Sela Ward, who would return as the main recurring character of season two, appeared in the final two episodes as Stacy Warner, House's former girlfriend.[7]
The situation was inspired by the devastating event in the 1993 standoff with David Koresh in Waco, Texas. "Minimal Loss" is cited as one of the best episodes of Criminal Minds, despite it being only in the fourth season, and ties into a later episode featuring Spencer being held captive by the cult once again ten years later.
Reid's life was going suspiciously well throughout season 8 as he develops a secret relationship with Maeve over the phone. However, his luck comes to an abrupt end in this episode centered around his love life, which is one of Reid's best Criminal Minds episodes. Michelle Trachtenberg plays the unsub, Diane, abducting Maeve in an act of jealous rage, prompting Reid to come to his girlfriend's rescue.
After an intense shoot-out between the officers and the unsubs in the previous episode titled "Angels," this season finale doesn't let up on the terror until the very end. Spencer had gone to the aid of Agent Blake and was shot in the neck, falling to the ground mere minutes before the dreaded "to be continued" came on the screen, leading viewers to believe he was killed.
Spencer is in prison after being framed for murder and he is the target for a violent gang in a series of episodes throughout season twelve. Reid decides to tell one of the prison guards who attacked Luis, and the same people responsible find out about his snitching, something that's known to be dangerous in the environment. 041b061a72
